What next for Prepsera?

When I started this blog around a year ago, I had a lot of reasons for it… I wanted to share my feelings about exams, about how to keep yourself in good shape, about how exactly to go forth in life, etc. I was hoping that I might get an audience big enough to voice my views out to everyone, to tell students that exams are not the end of the world, to tell parents that JEE isn’t the only thing that matters, and to tell the determined souls how they could prepare better.

Test of Reasoning by Edgar Thorpe : Perfect for NTSE, CAT, Bank PO and more

Welcome all to the book review of this wonderful book – Test of Reasoning by Edgar Thorpe. This has been one of the best books I have used on this subject and I can tell you that I absolutely fell in love with solving it’s problems. A great testament to this book is that it really sharpens your mind. For example, during my NTSE preparation, I exclusively practiced from this book for the Mental Ability portion of the exam. Funny thing, though. The year I cleared NTSE was perhaps the first time that there were more scholarships available than the eligible candidates. Basically, 1000 kids were supposed to get a scholarship that year but only 750 managed to pass in the mental ability test. This lead to only 750 kids being awarded the scholarship. That was because of an extremely tough MAT paper (was of a CAT level). All I have to say that is thanks to this book, I did manage to clear the mental ability paper with ease.

MacOS : Thou art a piece of beauty (So are you, Win 10)

I suppose the article should be self evident. But for those who still didn’t get it, I am seriously impressed by MacOS as well as Windows 10. Never thought I would be saying this, though. For me, desktop OSes were always a quagmire of never ending issues : Windows with it’s viruses and blue screen of deaths and Mac which I used to find complicated and ugly. Only a  few years later, now I am in serious love with both the Operating Systems. The only loser out here seems to be Linux which is great for coding and stuff but pretty pointless otherwise.

KVPY, 2017 : A last minute checklist for all students

Finally, the exam approaches. No need to worry, though. I’m sure you all are well prepared (even though you feel you haven’t prepared as well. Trust me, it’s a feeling that every candidate faces sometime or the other and is completely natural). Time seems to be of extreme importance here so I’ll quickly dive into the basics.

Motivation is one of the keys to success… And other important things to note

Do you know how people achieve success in their life? It’s cuz they are doing the thing for the interest of it and not for the heck of it. Most people are motivated to make something or to do something and that’s what fuels them to achieve. So, the take away message is that do a thing only if you want to.
